So far, we have raised a whopping £5100 for Cancer Research UK! Cancer affects millions of people nationwide. Each of us have been touched by cancer in some way - whether it's through a personal diagnosis, a family member, a friend, or a colleague. These stories unite us.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to this great cause, it means so much to the team. Knowing that we raised such an amazing amount of money which made the gruelling 10-mile run on Saturday worth it.

Robert Thompson, CEO of See Limited, said:

“It was such a challenging but rewarding experience. Pulling through the obstacles with my family, friends, and colleagues made this a very special moment.

“I’m really proud of what we have achieved today, all the efforts that went in to fundraising for the event and raising such a life-changing amount of money for a cause so close to my heart.

“I’m so grateful to all those who have kindly donated it means so much to everyone here today.

“If you’re contemplating taking on the Tough Mudder yourself, I would urge you to throw yourself at it, you will not regret it.

“You can just see the determination on the faces of everyone and all the efforts that go in to making sure everyone crosses the line. It was really amazing to see everyone huddling together, working as a team, and dragging people across the line.”

The Tough Mudder, renowned for its challenging and unforgiving course, took place at Belvoir Castle in Grantham, where 23 members of the See Limited team completed the challenge.

One of them was our Digital Marketing Manager, Inga Gusauskaite, who said:

“It was a great experience for an amazing cause. The course itself was really hard, made even tougher by the challenging weather conditions with the rain and the wind. But I’m very proud of myself and the team because we stuck together and tackled each obstacle as a collective.

“The worst obstacle was the electric shock one, we had to crawl in the water while being electrocuted by the wires above. I think everyone would agree that was the worst one!"

Bringing the fight to cancer

On average, in the UK, someone receives a cancer diagnosis every 90 seconds. Which means in the time taken for you to read this blog post, someone has been diagnosed with cancer. Let's join forces and bolster the crucial efforts and vital research that goes into saving lives and finding cures and treatment for this disease.

But, where does your money go?

£51 could buy special chemicals called restriction enzymes, which act like molecular scissors to cut long strands of DNA. This helps scientists study cancer-causing genes.

£168 could fund a professor and their team for a day of testing innovative radiotherapy techniques for treating rare bile duct cancer.

£248 could fund the research of a doctor and his team for two days, as they explore how to reduce barriers to bowel screening.

Our page is still open. We would be immensely grateful if you could support us with our fundraising. Every donation no matter how big or small helps towards the life-saving research and crucial support to those living with cancer right now. We can only hope that by uniting in this way, we are doing all we can to ensure that future generations are not burdened with the impacts of cancer.
