The Northampton Sustainability Accord is a collective of like-minded organisations that all share the same target of reducing carbon emissions and supporting each other in introducing new initiatives.

As part of our acceptance into the Accord, which was launched in 2023, at the University of Northampton (UoN) Sustainability Summit, we have taken on some key responsibilities.

One of these responsibilities is sharing sustainable practices and initiatives with other signatories. Sustainability is a lynchpin of our daily conversations and we are proud to have a number of initiatives already in place to help us take sustainable steps forward and reduce our carbon emissions. These include solar panel installation, electric vehicle policy and being part of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). For more information on our sustainability work, please visit our dedicated page here.

Robert Thompson, CEO of See Limited, said: “We’re really pleased to announce this partnership with the Northampton Sustainability Accord. Our vision matches SLIPAH’s long-term objectives and with their support, we are looking forward to enhancing our knowledge and sustainability initiatives.”

Pioneering innovation at See Limited

The Sustainability Local Innovation Partnership Agenda Hub (SLIPAH) was launched in July 2023 and was the hub that established the Accord framework. SLIPAH is a pioneering sustainability research and knowledge exchange hub and is a catalyst for transformative change in the local Northamptonshire area and beyond.

One of the projects that SLIPAH have launched is ‘Towards a Net Zero West Northants (TANZ West Northants)’. This project is UK government-funded and aims to support local businesses and boost awareness of Net Zero within the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) community. While it wants to raise awareness, it is also committed to delivering measurable results.

Ebenezer said: “We are excited to welcome See Limited as the latest signatory organisation to the Northampton Sustainability Accord.

“By joining the Accord, See demonstrates its commitment to work together with other stakeholders to address shared sustainability challenges and accelerate the transition to more responsible and sustainable commercial practices.”

We look forward to collaborating with SLIPAH and our fellow signatories as we continue to build a more sustainable future.
